State-of-the-Art Machining Technology Enhances Mayflower’s Capabilities

Laurasia Engineering Limited have recently invested in a new state of the art Machining centre. The XYZ TC 320 LTY is the largest y-axis Turning centre in the XYZ range. The impressive versatility of the machine, as a result of the 100 mm Y axis (+/- 50mm), allows many parts to be machined complete. Thus, increasing productivity significantly, as well as expanding upon the services that Laurasia can offer to customers.

Kevan Bingham, Managing Director at Laurasia Engineering Limited said: “Investing in the highly efficient Turning machine highlights a period of growth for Laurasia and allows for us to cater to an expanding range of new customers and markets.”

The decision to invest in the XYZ TC 320 LTY has come after Mayflower were recently tasked with a large-scale order for stainless laser cut, machined and welded components. This is required as part of a project for HS2 Phase 1, a high-speed railway stretching from London to Birmingham. The addition of the lathe to our manufacturing facility allows for the entire workload of the project to be completed in house.
